Internships are available in
- Clinical/mental health settings (for example, drug intervention programs, treatment centers for children, programs for the homeless).
- Health/developmental settings (nursing home care, Red Cross administration, Planned Parenthood).
- Industrial/organizational psychology (personnel, human resources, selection and training).
Interns should select internships that are consistent with their interests and goals.

Skills you could acquire
- Variety of experience with different patient populations (e.g., older adults, women veterans).
- Breadth of experience working with different diagnoses.
- Ability to plan, conduct, and write psychological assessments.
- Ability to provide professional consultation and effective treatment in a variety of settings.

- Gain practical experience in a variety of settings including hospitals, social welfare agencies, teen centers, community centers, human resources and personnel offices, marketing companies.
- Individual counseling and psychotherapy, groups/workshops, emergency service, consultation, outreach, prevention and education.
- Take part in student conferences, provide guidance and should be able to refer individuals with specific problems to the appropriate program.
- Provide support in the area of Human Resources, Perform general research and analysis on special HR projects.
