Leonado da Vinci and European Internships
The Leonardo Da Vinci program is a European Commission initiative which provides funds for students undertaking work placements abroad. The purpose of this scheme is to provide work experience and training for European citizens. It aims to improve the quality of professional training which helps to prepare young workers for the technological and industrial changes which the labour market faces.
The scheme provides funds to cover travel arrangements to the European country, accommodation and living costs and costs of visas etc.
However, in order to take part in this scheme, you need to find your own placement which will then be subsidised by the Leonardo Da Vinci program. Finding a placement can be a complicated process.
The website www.europeaninternships.com can help you find the placement you want. To use this directory, you must select the sector in which you are interested in working. A wide range of sectors are available such as education, healthcare, environmental science, psychology… the list goes on. You need to contact European Internships with your preferred sector and country and fill out the booking form.
European Internships works with cities in all European countries thus giving you many options from which you can chose your preferred program.
Using this directory to find your preferred placement is an easy way of ensuring you find a placement that suits you whilst benefiting from the subsidies which are provided by the European Union. www.europa.es
