A Unique Spanish Culinary Internship
European Internships has put together a unique programme which offers a full spanish language, culture and culinary immersion experience with combined Spanish courses, Spanish Culinary Class and an Culinary Internship Placement. It´s aimed at those who would like to learn Spanish, has a genuine interest in Spanish cuisine and would like to immerse themselves in the Spanish culture through the medium of cooking.
There are in total 3 parts to the programme we are offering. This includes the chance to take Spanish classes, a cooking course and then carry out a internship placement. All participants are required to take Spanish lessons to begin with. Before you depart you will take an online Spanish test and then will be informed of the results of the test. On arrival you will have an oral test to decipher how many Spanish lessons will be required before starting the placement. Everyone is required to take 2 weeks worth of Spanish classes irrespective of their level before they can begin the placeement.
After the Spanish classes, all participants will take a Spanish cooking course, led by professional and experienced chefs who will communicate in English. These lessons will fully prepare the student for their placement by giving hands-on practice in how to prepare an array of authentic Spanish dishes, like soups, fish, sauces, meats, vegetables and deserts. On completion, the participant will be ready to start the 30 hour a week internship. We have a variety of internship placements to offer in many different establishments. For example, 4 star hotels, hostels, resorts and more to suit ones requirements or desires. Remember, that the placement within the establishment will be based around the participants level of Spanish and culinary abilities.
Throughout the programme the participant will receive support, supervision and guidance at every stage. At the end, the student will receive a certificate and a reference letter from the chef. The price of the internship depends upon the number of weeks the internship will be carried out for. The minimum length of the programme is 4 weeks which costs 1,640€, 8 weeks is 2,200€ and 12 weeks costs 2,750€. If you would like to take the programme for more than 12 weeks then this is possible.
The fees include the Spanish language course and cultural afternoon activities, online hospitality management course, culinary course, placement fee, liability insurance and coverage for damage to third parties, accommodation and aiport pick-up. Please bear in mind that the programme does not include flights. With regards to accommodation, all participants will be able to live in a shared apartment provided by the establishment. Apartments will have free wireless internet access although hotel accommodation cannot always guarantee this. All students will receive 200 euros a month to go towards their monthly expeditures.
This course has been designed especially to provide a full Spanish immersion experience, not only leanring to communicate in Spanish but also to gain an insight into the Spanish culinary world.
