Hospitality Management

A guide to being in a foreign country

Moving to another country and adapting to a new way of life is an exciting challenge but you cannot expect things to function exactly the same as in your own country. You will experience some culture shock when everything seems new and strange and you miss your family and friends from back home. This is completely natural but it will pass and in the mean time it is important to stay positive and do your best to adapt to your new surroundings.

When choosing where to visit and live, consider going outside of traditional tourist areas. This will give you the best opportunity to experience and enjoy the language and culture of your host country. European Internships works more with small towns and villages rather than cities in order to encourage students to immerse themselves thoroughly in the culture and language.

Here is a brief over view of things to be aware of when living in Spain, Britain, France, Germany, Italy and Greece.
